Popcorn!
GOAL #1: $8,000
STRETCH GOAL: $10,000
2023 Popcorn Program
Pack 2819 is excited for a "kernel popping" fundraising year! Below you will find all the tools you will need to have a successful sale. If you have any questions you can reach out to your Den Leader or Cubmaster for help!
As you probably know, we sell popcorn at the beginning of the year to raise funds allowing us to give back to the Pack all year long. Popcorn sales are one of two fundraising efforts throughout the year. Please help support your Scout's fundraising goals by attending our Show and Sells! Fundraising is incredibly important to the health of the Pack's finances and keeping dues low.
Benefits to Your Scout and Family:
Teaches Scouts the value & process of setting and working toward goals
Gives Scouts a strong sense of accomplishment through recognition
Enhances communication, leadership skills and confidence in your Scout
Scouts can earn valuable rewards including gift cards and prizes
How do I get started?
Install the Trail's End app and register your Scout with our unit (Pack 2819). Detailed instructions are available on the right-hand side of this page. Once registered, sign your Scout up for Storefront shifts or begin sharing your Scout's online code to friends and family.
What popcorn is available this year?
Download and install the Trails End application on your smartphone for a current list.
What percentage of money earned actually goes to the Pack?
The Pack earns 30% commission on all popcorn sales and donations.
Will fundraising pay my Scout's Pack Dues?
Yes! Money raised through popcorn sales will be allocated to each Scout to offset Pack Dues. In order for a Scout to entirely cover the $150 in Scout Dues, they need to sell $500 worth of items through this fundraiser.
$500 x .30 = $150
Any amount of money earned above this will go toward funding other Scout activities and trips!
Ways to Sell:
Show -n-Sells (Storefront Sales)
Show-n-Sells make up a big part of our popcorn program. We've obtained permission from local businesses to set up a sales table. Show-n-Sells will have product on-hand for people to buy, or they can order additional product through the Trail's End app.
Scouts will work the storefront in 2-hour shifts with up to 2 Scouts per shift. Sales will be split evenly between all the Scouts who worked the Storefront that day. Parental supervision is required at Storefront Show-n-Sells.
Contact your Cubmaster for a list of available Storefront shifts, or use the Storefront Management feature of the Trail's End app to book shifts.
